After thinking about this idea for a while, I've decided to do a kimono tutorial! :meow:

It started as a tutorial for drawing kimono, but since I have a tendency to write huge walls of text, and to explain/give examples about a lot of things, it turned to be a general "kimono information tutorial", for both drawing and knowing kimono. This is only a very pre-start on the subject, covering super-basic points of what is NOT kimono. The kimono tutorial itself starts on part 2: :D

Part 2 and 3:

Please, notice I'm not specialist on the matter! These are only some information I gathered on my experience, so I'm sorry if I say something innacurate!

THE PHOTOS ON THIS TUTORIAL ARE NOT MINE! I only used them as examples for explanation purposes, and I don't claim to have ANY credit for them!! If you're the owner of any of these and want it removed, please ask and I'll do it.
I just decided to use photos since it's a better way to see the characteristics of REAL kimono than any drawing of mine.

Hahah it is great! I guess you did well that in the first part you explained the no-nos. (using MLP for hourse resource, I cracked up on that XDDDD). Because though I've seen many kimono tutorials it seems people need to pinpoint what NOT to do first. SO it's a rather good start.
Also can't wait for more. Though I've gathered some info already, browsing a lot of photots and all, but they all seem to get to an extent I'm already familiar with (like some basic types and who wear them), but details - especially motifs or colour meanings and combinations - are rare to find info about.
So yeah, tahnk you for taking your time to put this together! = D
